Smoked Chorizo de Chivo (chorizo made with the kid meat) is a speciality of the mountainous area of northern Leon. The goat meat has a similar, if slightly stronger flavour than the traditional pork chorizos. Ezequiel chorizos are an institution in Leon - and for good reason. What was once a simple roadside stop for travellers on the road from Leon to Asturias is now a superbly modern factory turning out some of the most delicious chorizo to be had anywhere in Spain.
The cured meats produced by Ezequiel are all slowly and naturally smoked with local oakwood, giving an exceptional 'mountain' taste and aroma.
