The Lindes de Remelluri wines are an homage to the growers that have long worked for the estate and brought their grapes into Remelluri. Lindes means borders and they are made from vineyards in the surrounding villages of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida. These grapes, which used to be blended into Remelluri’s main wine, are now allowed to shine in site-specific bottlings. Grapes for this wine are sourced from the vineyards of 8 growers around the town of San Vicente. Although vinification is the same, compared to Labastida San Vicente is at a lower elevation, closer to the Ebro River. The result is a well- balanced wine, with a silky tannic texture and juicy concentration. Vineyard.
The Lindes de Remelluri project, meaning "Borders of Remelluri", crafts a vision of Rioja’s terroirs by focusing on the distinct styles of wines from two different villages: Labastida and San Vincente. Grapes for this wine are sourced from the vineyards of 8 growers around the town of San Vicente. The vines are planted on poor limestone terraces with clay-calcareous soils. Compared to Labastida, San Vicente is at a lower elevation, closer to the Ebro River. This has created a wine that is higher in alcohol but with less acidity and tannins
